Some products—especially fermented, alcoholic, emulsified, high-fat, low-acid, or unusually preserved matrices—need a closer look before we quote the work.

The public program covers eligible dry or low-moisture foods and ingredients, high-moisture, refrigerated, acidified, or processed foods, nonalcoholic beverages and beverage ingredients, and agricultural or plant-derived ingredients. Eligibility depends on the matrix, method, and project requirements.

How are testing panels selected?

Panels are scoped from the product matrix, processing and preservative context, target market, requested analytes or microorganisms, and reporting needs. Technical review determines which work may be appropriate.

What happens with difficult or unusual matrices?

Projects involving fermented, alcoholic, emulsion, high-fat, low-acid, unusual-preservative, or otherwise complex matrices require technical review before quotation; a suitable program is not guaranteed.
